AMD announces five new AM3 processors

AMD has introduced five new processors to strengthen its position against competitor Intel. The five newcomers include two quadcores -both a Phenom II X4 and an Athlon II X4-, an Athlon II X3 and dualcore Phenom II X2 and Athlon II X2 chips. The five processors feature higher clock frequencies than their predecessors, which will be decreased in price.
